Stefano

Stefano, born in 1969, ha been a passionate traveller for quite a while now; falls in love with Africa as soon as his foot touches the ground of this wonderful continent for the first time. Ever since, the thirst of enriching his knowledge never leaves him; in 2004, he organizes, with his girlfriend, a trans Africa from Turin to Mozambique, driving an old Fiat Campagnola. At their return from this wonderful journey (www.torinoilha.net), a new adventure is about to start, that of AfricaWild Truck.
His profound knowledge of the territory, of the African fauna and flora and bird identification make him not only an excellent guide but, even more important, a great companion during the travel. Behind the wheel of his truck, he is our driver: his abilities to concentrate even on the worst ground are well known to all of us!!!

Francesca

Francesca, born in 1978, is a graduated architect from the Politecnico of Turin. The main topic of her thesis was a small island in Mozambique, a Unesco patrimony. She and Stefano reached the island after a 23.000 km long trip, leaving from their city, Torino, on their old Fiat Campagnola (www.torinoilha.net).
Together they are starting the AfricaWild Truck adventure. Francesca’s desire is to deeply understand the traditions of the places they reach, to be in contact with the locals and to best preserve the territory, all aspects that she loves to cure during their expeditions in Africa. Her main task on the truck is that of a supervisor, she takes care of the food supplies, but not only: often times, during their camping stops she will prepare rich and delicious dinners.

Shukuru

Sukuru was born in 1974, in Dar es Salaam. He is a handy mechanic and it is due to this extraordinary ability that Stefano and Francesca asked him to become part of the AfricaWildtruck team. He loves his culture and his language, the Swahili and he will gladly teach you a few words if you’re interested in learning it.
