An itinerary that alternates the <strong>vastness of the great national parks<\/strong> with <strong>moments of pure wonder<\/strong>, in two countries that share a commitment to <strong>preserving their wildlife heritage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-12-days-of-travel-in-zambia-and-botswana\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">12 days of travel in Zambia and Botswana<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The journey begins in <strong>Lusaka<\/strong>, the capital of Zambia: a modern and rapidly growing hub where you can visit the National Museum and discover the country\u2019s history, or delve into its commitment to environmental protection by visiting the Munda Wanga Environmental Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Lusaka, we will reach <strong>Kafue National Park<\/strong>, the largest in Zambia and the <strong>second largest in Africa<\/strong>. The landscape alternates between <strong>riverine scrubs, miombo woodlands, open savannahs, and granite outcrops, <\/strong>a variety of habitats that are home to <strong>over 55 species of mammals and 461 species of birds<\/strong>. In the Busanga plains, rich with antelopes and waterbuck, you will have the opportunity to encounter <strong>lions<\/strong> and <strong>elephants<\/strong>, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/attivita\/boat-safari\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/attivita\/boat-safari\/\">boat safaris<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/attivita\/night-safari\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/attivita\/night-safari\/\">night drives<\/a> will provide the perfect occasion to spot <strong>hippos<\/strong>, <strong>crocodiles<\/strong>, and <strong>leopards<\/strong>, some of the most active predators during the evening hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The journey will then continue to Livingstone, a border town on the banks of the Zambezi River, the ideal base for visiting <strong>Victoria Falls<\/strong>. Known locally as<em> Mosi-oa-Tunya<\/em>, &#8220;the smoke that thunders,&#8221; the falls extend nearly <strong>two kilometers<\/strong> and<strong> plunge 108 meters<\/strong> into a narrow gorge: they are a <strong>UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/strong> and among the most famous natural attractions in the world. Here, you can enjoy the spectacle of the falls from the Zambian side and, if you wish, from the Zimbabwean side as well. You can choose between adrenaline-pumping activities like <strong>rafting<\/strong>, <strong>kayaking<\/strong>, and <strong>bungee jumping<\/strong>, the thrill of a <strong>scenic flight<\/strong>, or more relaxed moments like a<strong> sunset cruise along the Zambezi River<\/strong> and a <strong>visit to<\/strong> <strong>Livingstone&#8217;s market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, we will cross one of the most incredible borders on the African continent, where <a href=\"https:\/\/wwww.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/zambia\/\" data-type=\"destinazioni\" data-id=\"1907\">Zambia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/zimbabwe\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/zimbabwe\/\">Zimbabwe<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/namibia\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/namibia\/\">Namibia<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/botswana\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.africawildtruck.com\/en\/destinazioni\/botswana\/\">Botswana<\/a> meet at a single point, to reach <strong>Chobe National Park<\/strong>. You will explore <strong>one of the areas with the highest concentration of wildlife in Southern Africa<\/strong>: the waters are home to <strong>elephants<\/strong> and <strong>hippos<\/strong>, while large herds of <strong>buffalo<\/strong> attract <strong>lions<\/strong>.
