Accommodation options <\/b>vary, but we typically prefer<\/span> lodges immersed in nature<\/b>, chosen for their comfort and location, and<\/span> locally operated<\/b> hotels. These accommodations are chosen after constant field assessment and meticulous selection. We give preference to <\/span>sustainable<\/b>, <\/span>community\u2011oriented properties<\/b> that offer superior service. Mountain camps and refuges, however, are deliberately more basic and rustic.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n\t\tWhich vaccinations are required to travel?\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t

      For most destination countries, if you\u2019re travelling from Italy there are no mandatory vaccinations. Still, <\/span>consult your GP<\/b> or visit a travel clinic at least 4\u20136 weeks before departure. During the consultation medical staff will assess your health and advise on vaccinations that, while not compulsory, may be recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n

      You may need a yellow fever certificate if you arrive from a transmission\u2011risk country. For up\u2011to\u2011date health entry requirements, consult your Country Travel Advisor website.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t <\/details>\n\t\t

      For <\/span>malaria<\/b> prevention the WHO emphasizes first\u2011line mechanical prevention: repellents, <\/span>long light\u2011coloured clothing<\/b> and bed nets, which are always provided at the properties where you\u2019ll stay.           \n\t\tHow should I behave around wild animals?\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t

          Encounters with <\/span>wildlife<\/b> on safari are <\/span>exciting and unforgettable<\/b>, but they require <\/span>awareness<\/b> and <\/span>respect<\/b>. We <\/span>are visitors in the animals\u2019 home<\/b> and must follow safety rules to avoid provoking sudden or dangerous reactions.<\/span><\/p>\n

          At Africa Wild Truck we are<\/span> Satib partners<\/b> and carry insurance that covers you during the trip and <\/span>safaris<\/b> at no extra cost. Nevertheless, always follow safety instructions.<\/span><\/p>\n

          When near animals, <\/span>observe quietly.<\/b> Any <\/span>noise<\/b> not made by nature can <\/span>disturb<\/b> them. Do not imitate animal calls, clap, whistle or attempt to attract attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

          If the vehicle is stationary and animals approach, <\/span>do not lean out or try to get closer<\/b>. Respect their space and wait for their time to move away. You may only exit the vehicle during <\/span>planned safari stops<\/b>, always with the guide and <\/span>under safe conditions<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

          On <\/span>walking safaris<\/b>, follow the specialist guide\u2019s instructions. Guides have deep knowledge of the park and animal behaviour and are fully trained and equipped for your safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

          If you want to see a specific species, we can advise the best time and area to increase the chances, but sightings cannot be guaranteed, animals roam freely.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t <\/details>\n\t\t

          \n\t\tWill there be mobile coverage for my smartphone?\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t

          Your personal phone will generally have <\/span>good coverage across most of the areas visited<\/b>, not only in towns. If you have a <\/span>smartphone<\/b> you can buy a local SIM\u2014\u20ac20\u201330 for about 50 GB is common, to browse independently. Most chosen <\/span>properties<\/b> usually offer free Wi\u2011Fi in <\/span>common areas<\/b>, sometimes in rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t <\/details>\n\t\t

          \n\t\tWill someone meet me at the airport?\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t

          On arrival in Africa<\/span> our staff will meet you at the airport<\/b>, often inside the terminal. We\u2019ll also transfer you back to the airport at the end of the trip.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t <\/details>\n\t\t

          \n\t\tHow are transfers arranged in Africa?\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t

          Transfers depend on the itinerary. In some countries distances between destinations are shorter and most transfers <\/span>are by our 4×4 vehicles <\/b>or <\/span>vehicles suitable to the trip type<\/b>. Some programs may include scheduled<\/span> internal flights or<\/b>, on request, small charters.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Keep in mind that \u201cshorter distances\u201d are relative to the country: you may spend several hours in a vehicle on roads that are not always in perfect condition. That too is part of the journey.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t <\/details>\n\t\t

          \n\t\t\n\t\t\t

          \n\t\tHow can I pay for personal expenses during the trip?\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t
          \n\t\t

          At the accommodations<\/strong> you’ll stay in, Visa, Mastercard and other major credit cards<\/strong> are commonly accepted. Credit \/ debit card payments are increasingly common in major centres<\/strong>, and ATMs<\/strong> are available. Check with your bank whether your card network is accepted in the destination country and verify your PIN before departure.<\/p>\n

          In <\/span>rural areas<\/b> electronic payments and ATMs are often limited, so you should carry cash. To <\/span>exchange local currency<\/b>, bring <\/span>cash euros or US dollars<\/b>. Note that US dollar notes dated before 2019 are not accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n

          When paying in cash, for example at a market,<\/span> bargaining is customary<\/b>. We advise moderation: don\u2019t be overly generous or excessively aggressive in bargaining. Giving money freely doesn\u2019t always help; conversely, an amount small to you can be significant locally.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Tipping is also customary; tips should be proportional to the service and should never exceed a worker\u2019s daily wage.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t <\/details>\n\t\t
