The Africa Wild Truck camp & lodge

The Africa Wild Truck Lodge & Camp is located at the foot of Mount Mulanje, at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level in southern Malawi. For a truly unique stay, we recommend one of our comfortable rooms housed within a former colonial red-brick building dating back to 1912. Originally believed to have served as a bookshop, the building has been carefully restored by Francesca and transformed into an eco-friendly property designed to minimise its environmental impact, in keeping with the Africa Wild Truck philosophy.

We are surrounded by indigenus trees in a peaceful garden overlooking the tea-covered hills, with Mount Mulanje rising in the background. Our Lodge & Camp is the ideal place to break your journey while travelling through Malawi.

We are the perfect starting point or finishing point for your safari or your trek to Sapitwa Peak. You can spend a relaxing weekend immersed in nature, enjoying cycling excursions and walks through the tea plantations. Or simply sit back and admire the stars beneath the African night sky. From the lodge we offer several activities in the area of the Mount Mulanje Forest Reserve.

Our guests also have exclusive access to a swimming pool and an on-site restaurant.

Choose from double, triple and family rooms, apartments and suites with private bathrooms. Alternatively, we also offer a camping pitches.
