Strategic hub for tourist routes
Not too long ago, Kasane was a small, remote village of little importance. In recent years, though, it has grown rapidly: its fortune came from a strategic position along the main tourist routes.
The town of Kasane sits at the meeting point of Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, a short distance from Victoria Falls and on the edge of Chobe National Park. In fact, there are no fences between the protected area and the town, and it’s not unusual to see animals wandering along the streets.
