Last summer, Giacomo and Suzanna chose Africa for their honeymoon. It was their first real safari experience and also their first time travelling with a tour operator, as they had always travelled extensively but planned everything independently. There were plenty of reasons to create an unforgettable itinerary for them and – judging by what they told us – it seems we succeeded.

A dream come true
The idea of an African safari came from Giacomo. He had already had a brief taste of one in Tanzania, and wanted to experience it fully on their honeymoon. Together with Suzanna, however, he was also looking for something a little different, somewhere away from the best-known destinations.

The wildlife sightings on safari in Botswana’s Okavango Delta exceeded their expectations. They also got to admire the majestic Victoria Falls from both the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides. But their real discovery was Mozambique’s southern coast, with its lagoons, crystal-clear waters and the beautiful marine sanctuary of the Bazaruto Archipelago.
They chose their accommodation following our recommendations, too. The days spent on the Indian Ocean – in an exclusive and secluded setting – were the most romantic. But the experience that impressed them most was sleeping in a skybed beneath the stars, in the heart of the Okavango.
